Ten Must-Have Summer Foods

The school year is ending, which means one thing: summer is almost here. Because it is almost time for school to be out and summer vacation to start, here is a list of ten foods to try/eat this summer.

Number 1- Watermelon

Watermelon is a classic summer food. It is perfect to eat in fresh slices, cubes, or grilled too. Watermelon is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or even a side dish at dinner. 

Number 2- Popsicles

Popsicles are a perfect way to beat the heat, and they are easy to make or buy. To make them all you need is a cup, some juice, and a popsicle stick. They can be healthy or sugary, but either way, they are delicious.

Number 3- Ice cream sandwiches

Ice cream sandwiches are always a crowd favorite. They are the best thing to eat after a long day of being outside in the heat. These are the perfect summer dessert. 

Number 4- S’mores

When you think about summer foods one of the first things you think about is s’mores. S’mores are easy and fun to make and you can have a bonfire to make them. 

Number 5- Peaches

Peaches are so simple and delicious. One thing to look forward to in summer is peach season. Peaches are a great food because they can be eaten whole, in slices, put in smoothies, turned into juice, or grilled.

Cherries are a good summer food because they are tasty and light. They can also be used in smoothies, be eaten whole, turned into juice, or put in a pie. Cherries are a perfect multi-use food for the summer. 

Number 7- Mangoes

Mangoes are light and simple food. They have such an amazing taste and their bright colors and taste fit perfectly with summer. Mangoes are also a multi-purpose food because they can be turned into smoothies or juice. They are a healthy and delicious snack. 

Number 8- Corn on the cob

When you think of summer dinners, you always think of cor- on-the-cob. Corn-on-the-cob is a healthy and fresh side for your dinners. In the summertime, corn is the perfect side to your lunch and dinner. 

Number 9- Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe is great for summer because it is light and juicy. It goes with other fruits and is perfect for breakfast. 

Number 10- Pomegranate seeds

Pomegranate seeds are another healthy and delightful snack. They are great to eat alone, juiced, or put in a summer salad.
